Targeting Perfectionism to Prevent Disordered Eating in Adolescents

Do you feel that you cannot stand to be less than perfect? 
Do you try to be perfect in everything you do? 
Do you always try for the top score on a test?

The Venture Lab based at the CHU Sainte-Justine’s Research Centre in Montreal, Quebec is seeking young people to participate in a coping-skills workshop targeting perfectionism, a personality trait highly correlated with eating disorders.  

You are eligible to participate if you

  • are between the ages of 13 and 17 years, and
  • have not been diagnosed with an eating disorder but identify as having a high level of perfectionism.

Participation involves attending 2 workshop sessions (Zoom/in person, in groups) and completing a survey afterwards. 

You will be compensated $25 for each session and $50 for the follow-up survey for a total of $100.
