Creating a Physical Activity Support Program for Individuals with an Eating Disorder and/or Disordered Eating

Researchers at the University of Toronto are seeking participants for a study to creating a physical activity support program for individuals with an eating disorder and/or disordered eating.

They are recruiting two groups of participants:

  1. Individuals with lived experience who:
    - are 18 years of age or older
    - self-identify with a history of disordered eating or an eating disorder
    - are fluent in English
    - self-identify as being in recovery
  2. Eating disorder, exercise, and research professionals who:
    - are 18 years of age or older
    - are fluent in English
    - have at least 1 year of experience providing support to clients/patients with an eating disorder or disordered eating


Participation will be asked to:

  • Fill out a demographic questionnaire (~20 minutes)
  • Complete an online interview with a member of the research team on Zoom or Teams (~1 hour)
  • Optionally review the interview summary and provide feedback (~30 minutes)


The total time commitment will be ~1.5 to 2 hours. 


A $20 Amazon gift card will be provided for participating in the interview.
