Researchers at the University of Calgary and McMaster University are seeking participants for a workshop that will help identify the top ten research priorities for young adults with eating disorders and the people who care for them.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday September 10, 2025 from 10am-2pm MST (12pm-4pm EST; 9am-1pm PST).
What will participation involve?
- A 5-minute screening call over the phone or Zoom
- Participation in 4-hour facilitated virtual workshop with emerging adults, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
- Collaborativiely creating a shortlist of research questions surrounding young adults with eating disorders
- Discussing, considering, and sharing perspectives in small groups
* Compensation will be provided
Who is eligible to participate?
- Young adults, ages 18 to 25, who self-identify with lived experience of an eating disorder
- Parents/caregivers of a young adult aged 16 to 25 with an eating disorder
- Clinicians with professional experience supporting young adults with eating disorders
* Steady access to a computer or mobile device with teleconferencing capabilities will be required
