Improving Canadian Inpatient Eating Disorder Treatment

Perspectives of Individuals with Lived Experience


Researchers at Dalhousie University are seeking participants for a study to learn more about the experiences of individuals who have undergone inpatient eating disorder treatment in Canada. The goal is to produce recommendations for the improvement of current referral and participation processes related to inpatient eating disorder treatment programs in Canada.  


Participation will involve two one-on-one virtual interviews, an initial one-hour session and a follow-up that will last about 30 minutes. Participants will be compensated $20 ($15 for the initial interview, $5 for the follow-up).

You are eligible to participate if you:

  • are fluent in English
  • currently reside in Canada
  • have been to an inpatient eating disorder treatment program in Canada while aged 18 years or older between the years 2012 and 2022
  • are not currently participating in inpatient eating disorder treatment
