Physical activity and health during pregnancy across people with and without pre-existing mental health conditions

Researchers at the University of Alberta are seeking participants for a survey with the aim of improving perinatal health.

Purpose: This study aims to examine and compare prenatal physical activity (PA) and health across people with and without pre-existing mental health conditions, including eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and more. Findings from the survey will advance understanding of prenatal PA among people pre-existing mental health conditions and inform the development of inclusive perinatal care and prenatal PA guidance.

Eligibility: Participants must be 18 years of age or older and currently pregnant or pregnant within the past 5 years (2021-2026). This survey is open to people with and without pre-existing mental health conditions.
