Twitter Chat
We kicked off the week with an engaging twitter chat to start the conversation about why we participate in Eating Disorder Awareness Week and why it matters.

VoicED
On Thursday, February 2nd, the Toronto community came together to share art, music, comedy and spoken word to talk about Eating Disorders and how they affect our lives. The night was filled with emotional, powerful performances, boundless creativity and laughs. The evening left people feeling inspired and hopeful that recovery is possible.

#NotAChoice
NEDIC is committed to spreading the word that eating disorders are #notachoice. This is the first year that we asked followers to participate in a social media campaign. We invited followers to post their own #NotAChoice pictures where they described how eating disorders are not a choice but so much more.

NEDIC is thankful for all of the organizations we collaborated with, all of the provincial and municipal governments that proclaimed eating disorder awareness week and most of all, you for your participation, passion an endless dedication to raising awareness about eating disorders and how they affect so many Canadians each year. Our work does not stop at the end of this week but continues every day throughout the year. We are glad to have you on our team and are looking forward to continue in the work to raise awareness about Eating Disorders in Canada.
