Fighting Eating Disorders in Underrepresented Populations (FEDUP) is collective of Trans+, Gender Diverse, and/or Intersex (TGDI) people who believe eating disorders in marginalized communities are social justice issues.
FEDUP runs the following peer support groups on Zoom:
These support groups are free of charge and open to TGDI individuals ages 18 and older, living in any geographic location.
For Healthcare Professionals Experiencing an Eating Disorder or Disordered Eating
Dates: Thursdays starting March 27; weekly meetings until May 22
Times: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. MT
This 8-week audio-only online support group, led by Registered Dietitian Selene Yan, is designed specifically for healthcare professionals seeking a recovery-focused environment.
Registration is open to residents of Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario, New Brunswick, Yukon, and Northwest Territories.
Fee: $80
Free and open to anyone living in Canada.
Cultivating Self-Compassion

In this workshop, Alyssa Walsh, CCC and Estelle Cochingyan will facilitate a gentle exploration of shame and disordered eating, how shame might actually be trying to protect us, and how to use self-compassion, radical acceptance, and gratitude as coping tools to support our recovery.

This online workshop is designed to equip carers with practical skills derived from Emotion-Focused Family Therapy that will help them strengthen their relationships, with their loved one and respond effectively to strong emotional reactions.
