Investigating Reward in Anorexia Nervosa

How do people with a current or recent diagnosis anorexia nervosa experience reward?



Researchers at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto are seeking participants for a study investigating the neurobiology of reward in people with anorexia nervosa. This involves looking at how reward neurobiology is associated with heart, pupil, and brain responses and self-reported data.



Participation entails: 

  • an online evaluation by video 
  • 2 Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) brain scans 
  • responding to questionnaires



You may be eligible if you are:

  • a female between the ages of 12 and 22 years AND have/had a diagnosis of anorexia nervosa, OR
  • are healthy and have never had a diagnosis of anorexia nervosa
