Language and Virtual eHealth Support Preferences for Early Intervention of Eating Disorders

Are you a young person who currently lives with or has lived with an eating disorder and/or disordered eating, or a primary caregiver of a child or youth with an eating disorder and/or disordered eating?

Researchers at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute are seeking participants for a study to learn more about the language and virtual e-health support preferences of young people who have living or lived experience of an eating disorder and/or disordered eating, and of their carers.

Participants will be asked in discussion groups about their preferences with respect to language and virtual e-health supports, at their recommended “dos and don’ts” for professionals supporting youth with disordered eating and/or eating disorders.

The research team is aiming to hold the discussion groups starting on February 22, 2023 and to complete the series by early March. Discussions will be 60 minutes long and take place through Zoom. Participants will be offered a $30 gift card.

You are eligible to participate if you reside in Canada, can communicate in English, and are either:

  • a young person (16-25 years old) who currently lives with or has lived with an eating disorder and/or disordered eating, or
  • a primary caregiver of a child or youth (up to 25 years old) with an eating disorder and/or disordered eating
