Researchers at the University of New South Wales are looking for participants for a study investigating sensory processing in relation to disordered eating and neurodivergent traits.
Why?
Neurodivergent traits, such as sensitivity to taste, noise, lights, thirst, or hunger, influence how we eat and think about eating. In addition, over or undersensitivity to sensory cues are connected with eating difficulties and disordered eating; for example, not eating enough due to aversions of textures, smells, or tastes or because of feeling full after only eating small amounts of food.
Who can take part?
- Individuals 18 years or older who can understand English
What does participation entail?
- You will be asked to complete online questionnaires which will take approximately 25 to 35 minutes to complete
- 10 Prepaid Digital Mastercards with a value of $50 Australian dollars (AUD) each will be offered for a prize draw once recruitment for this study has ended
Additional information about this research project and the link to the questionnaires are available on the project website.
